BALLET DES MOINES SUMMER INTENSIVE
Ballet Des Moines is proud to again offer a Summer Intensive! This 1-2 week program will be held at the new BDM Studios within the Ballet Des Moines Campus for Arts & Education. Summer Intensive classes will include Ballet, Pointe, Variations, and Contemporary Repertoire. Intermediate and advanced level dancers will all have the opportunity to learn and grow under the watchful eye of Ballet Des Moines professional dancers and artistic staff.

dress code
We ask that female dancers wear a leotard and tights or tight fitting shorts. Dancers are also able to wear a short ballet skirt for pointe and variations classes if they wish. We don’t require any specific color, so feel free to wear any color or pattern you would like Men can wear tights or shorts that they feel comfortable in with a tank or t-shirt. Non binary dancers may wear whichever they are most comfortable in.
Note: Dancers in character/musical theatre class are encouraged to bring character shoes with them.
PARKING/DROP-OFF
There are parking spots all around Ballet Des Moines, located at 655 Walnut Street. The meters use the Park Mobile app or kiosks for payment. There are also free loading zones on the east and west sides of the building on 6th and 7th Streets just north of Walnut. Please enter and exit Ballet Des Moines through the glass door on the south side of the building near the corner of 6th and Walnut.
