Ballet Des Moines Triple Bill – Celestial

October 11-13, 2013—Hoyt Sherman Place

Our triple bill is a great introduction to ballet showcasing different dance styles by three different choreographers in three short ballets.  These works will be choreographed by World Renowned Choreographer, Ma Cong, Ballet Des Moines Artistic Director, Serkan Usta and Lori Grooters, Ballet Des Moines Ballet Mistress.

World Famous Ballet – The Nutcracker

December 12-15, 2013—Hoyt Sherman Place

Ballet Des Moines  will present a professional performance of The Nutcracker, with choreography from our Artistic Director Serkan Usta and Ballet Mistress Lori Grooters.  Showcasing our resident professional company and over 300 local and youth dancers. This beloved classic is the  cornerstone of ballet companies around the world. (Audition times for dancers can be found here.)

Spring Show – Cinderella

March 8-9, 2014—Des Moines Performing Arts

In this widely popular fairy tale brought to life through dance,  Ballet Des Moines will revive this classic story with original choreography.  This production will again showcase our continued collaboration with the Des Moines Community Orchestra enhancing the performances with live music
